In order to obtain a residential permit your vehicle must be registered to the address that you are requesting a permit. You will be asked to attach an image or picture of your vehicles registration. Please scan the registration in or take a legible picture of the registration. The cost for a residential permit is $10.00 and it is valid for one full year from the date of purchase. Two visitor passes will be mailed to your residence once approved for your residential permit. Visitor passes are restricted to two per household, not per residential permit.

If you have a leased vehicle, you will need to provide a copy of your lease agreement showing your Medford address. If your lease agreement does not show a Medford address then you will need to contact your leasing company and change your address to Medford.
Mayor Breanna Lungo-Koehn is pleased to announce that residential parking permits are now free for seniors ages 65 and over, and that vehicles that display a handicap placard do not need to purchase a residential permit.
Free residential permits must be obtained in person at ParkMedford, located at 557B Main Street. Seniors must show a valid Massachusetts driver’s license as well as their vehicle registration reflecting the street for which you require a permit. Two free visitor passes will be provided upon request. Seniors who do not have a vehicle may still get two free visitor passes.
Vehicles with a handicap placard on display may park on any street without a permit. However, if you have a placard but do not wish to display it at all times, you will need to obtain a permit for your vehicle. These permits must be obtained in person at ParkMedford and the individual must show the handicap placard, a valid Massachusetts driver’s license, and the vehicle registration reflecting the street for which you require a permit. Two free visitor passes will be provided upon request. If an individual is unable to visit ParkMedford due to mobility issues, a representative can visit ParkMedford in their stead and provide all necessary documentation to obtain a permit.
If you do not have a vehicle but need Visitor Passes you may purchase two Visitor Passes.
You must be a resident of Medford. Acceptable forms of identification are as follows: deed, property tax bill, lease, or a water bill.
The cost is $10.00 and they are valid for one full year from date of purchase.
Permits will be for Medford residents only.

Commuter permits will be available at a cost of $100.00 and will be valid for one full year from date of purchase.
The cost for a business permit will be $100 and will be valid for one full year from date of purchase.
You must provide proof of employment in Medford. Acceptable forms of identification are to provide a pay stub or to pay with a business check or business credit card. You must also provide a valid vehicle registration.

To be eligible for this decal you must meet the following requirements:
1. You must be a City of Medford resident.
2. You must 65 years or older (Valid Massachusetts Identification must be presented as proof of age)
3. Vehicle must be registered in Medford.
4. Vehicle must be registered to the same name as the date of birth identification.
5. Senior resident must be in the registered vehicle as the driver or passenger for the permit to be valid.
6. Cost is $25.00 per permit – non transferrable.
7. Permit is valid for 1 full year from the date of purchase.
This new parking permit is good in all of the Business Districts within the City of Medford at any Pay-To-Park location. You can park in any municipal parking lot without paying the KIOSK for a maximum of 3 hours.
You can park on any of the Pay-to-Park streets without paying the KIOSK or meters for a maximum of 3 hours (please be sure to check the posted signs).
*If you currently have a Handicap Placard that you use in your vehicle, it is not necessary to purchase this permit.
